Is Anyone Else Loving Coconut Oil?
I’ve just discovered how awesome coconut oil is! It basically helps with everything under the sun…literally. It’s good for your hair, skin, digestion, infections, stress, and more. Now, I’m not going to go into all the technicalities behind the science of coconut oil, but let’s just say it has plenty of vitamins and fatty acids that our bodies absolutely love.
Hair, Skin, and Stress
Want to improve the look and feel of your hair and skin? Well good because that’s what I’m going to talk about next 😉 Coconut oil has essential nutrients for our hair that allows it to grow stronger and healthier. By regularly massaging your scalp with coconut oil your hair will be shiny and free from dandruff. This is a great conditioner for our beautiful locks and is great for repairing damaged hair.
This wonderful oil is also great for your skin. It is the perfect moisturizer for all skin types and can help with skin diseases such as psoriasis and eczema. And guess what? Its antioxidants help prevent premature aging! Yes, you know you like that.
Now, let’s talk about the body’s ultimate enemy…stress. From what I have been reading, you can relieve “mental fatigue” by massaging warm coconut oil on your head. I’m going to have to try this one for sure! Hello coconut, Goodbye stress.

You can also try substituting regular cooking oils with coconut oil to help your digestive system. (Don’t switch over completely though! Your body needs all the nutrients it can get)…Coconut oil is abundant in saturated fats, which sounds terrible! But wait…there’s always a bright side. These saturated fats have anti microbial properties that fight off parasites and other nasty stomach bugs that cause indigestion.

The Energy Berry Smoothie
What you’ll need:
- 1 cup of the following frozen berries: blueberries, strawberries, and rasberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup of rice, almond, hazelnut, or coconut milk…or regular milk
- 1/4 cup of orange juice
- 1/2 cup of water
- 3 tablespoons of protein powder (optional)
- 3-4 tablespoons of melted virgin coconut oil
- 3-4 ice cubes
What to do with these awesome ingredients?
Place all the ingredients in a blender EXCEPT for the coconut oil. Slowly pour in the coconut oil while blending. Blend until all the ingredients are fully mixed.
